Proco – RAT – Clone
Next, I took the original RAT from ProCo. I used the circuit from TonePad: tonepad_rat.pdf. I replaced the specified JFET transistor 2N5458 with a 2N5457, as the 2N5458 I had from China was probably a fake. Fortunately I got my money back. I now understand why ProCon called this effect pedal Rat.
I then placed the whole thing in a 1590B housing and there is still space for a 9 volt block battery.
